Print Quality FAQ

Print Quality FAQ

Last updated: June 5, 2026

Are your themes original designs?

Yes. All color themes and visual styles in the MapVibe Studio editor are original artistic works created in-house. Each theme is a unique combination of color palettes, typography pairings, and layout configurations. While some theme names or aesthetics may evoke cultural movements, artistic periods, or popular visual styles, every theme is an independent original creation — not a reproduction or derivative of any copyrighted work. Theme names are used for descriptive and evocative purposes only and do not imply affiliation with any cultural group, brand, or rights holder.

Will my print look exactly like the preview?

Your printed poster will closely match the digital preview, but slight variations are normal due to differences between screen displays (RGB) and professional printing (CMYK). Colors may appear slightly warmer or cooler, and fine details may render differently on paper or canvas versus a backlit screen.

What paper and materials do you use?

All MapVibe posters are printed on 200 g/m² premium matte paper with a smooth, non-reflective finish — no glare, no shine, just clean detail. Canvas prints use a polyester-cotton blend with a satin finish, hand-stretched over a sturdy pine frame.

What printing technology is used?

Your poster is printed using high-quality inkjet printing — a multicolor, water-based inkjet process that produces sharp detail, accurate color reproduction, and a durable, fade-resistant finish.

Are the colors accurate?

We optimize our designs for print accuracy, but every monitor displays colors differently. To minimize surprises:

  • View your preview on a calibrated screen if possible
  • Expect slight differences in saturation and brightness between screen and paper
  • Dark backgrounds may appear slightly lighter or warmer in print

What about framed prints?

Framed posters are mounted in a solid wood frame (approximately .75″ / 1.9 cm profile) with a protective front panel. The visible area of the print may be slightly smaller than the full image due to the frame overlap (approximately 3–5mm per side). Available frame finishes: Black and Natural Wood.

What about canvas prints?

Canvas prints use a polyester-cotton blend fabric with a satin finish, hand-stretched over a sturdy pine frame. Framed canvases come ready to hang. The satin finish enhances color depth while reducing glare.
